Nicomachean Ethics

The Nicomachean Ethics is considered one of Aristotle’s most mature and important works and is one of the most important and fundamental works of Western philosophy.

For Aristotle, all human actions are done for some end, that is, for some purpose which is happiness – the highest of all goods. According to the philosopher, the attainment of bliss can only exist when man is virtuous.

The Nicomachean Ethics is one of the three treatises that deal with the analysis of the forms and conditions of ethics and intellectual virtue according to Aristotle. It examines and analyzes in detail the issues and key concepts raised by the philosopher, such as happiness, responsibility, moral education, moral virtues, practical wisdom, friendship.
